About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Quality Engineer to join our team at our Deeside office in the UK.
The successful candidate will maintain the QA function in our Deeside factory and offices, ensuring compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and EN1090 via external audits.
In addition, they will provide support for individual product approvals where necessary.
This role requires proactive engagement with stakeholders to ensure our Quality systems align with our products and services, meeting customer expectations at all times.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintain and audit quality, health, safety and environmental management systems in accordance with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, ensuring timely close out of non-conformances.
* Educate teams, production processes and products on QA standards through active liaison and face-to-face interaction.
* Engineer quality into production processes through to finished product.
* Set and maintain final customer quality shipping standards.
* Support manufacturing and design problem-solving, using effective root cause analysis to resolve quality concerns and sources of error.
* Address and closeout customer complaints to prevent recurrence, monitoring trends to establish relevant improvements.
* Maintain calibration of essential checking and measuring equipment, ensuring it is fit for purpose and traceable to international calibration standards.
* Assist in accident and near-miss investigations, ensuring root causes are established and appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
1. Experience in working in the manufacturing sector in quality assurance.
2. Knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001.
3. A qualification in internal auditing.
4. Competence in MS Office suite.
5. The ability to work on multiple tasks and collaborate cross-functionally to identify issues and implement solutions and improvements.
