About the opportunityThe Administrative Support Officer plays a crucial role in managing diverse administrative activities within the designated Zone. This role is responsible for identifying and addressing urgent or critical issues that require escalation to relevant Directors or Managers. Effective communication and relationship management with stakeholders across various levels are key aspects of this role. You may be required to participate in activities to support the agency during operational or emergency responses to NSW SES locations in the state, where the requirements are within the scope of your skills, knowledge and capabilities. Learn more here About youTo be successful in this role you will:Possess excellent communication skills in providing an efficient and effective communication link for information and advice between stakeholders, both internal and externalOperate as a key point of contact for the collection and provision of information on the basis of which high level decisions are to be madeCan collect and compile information for, and prepare documentation in line with quality and organisational requirements, to support information flow and inform decision makingUpdate and maintain records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible, participate in yearly inventory and equipment stocktake requirements.Respond to enquiries and escalate and redirect issues as required to ensure the provision of accurate a range of administrative, stakeholder liaison and logistical support services including responding to enquiries or making decisions about referring these to other staff members as required.
Essential requirements Demonstrated experience in the use of the full range of Microsoft Office applications Thorough knowledge of AIIMS principles and processes, and/or willingness to obtain competence within 12 months
