The GenesisCare team is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Hurstville clinic, delivering specialized cancer care services including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and haematology. This role offers a full-time position with the potential for permanent placement after the initial contract period.
About the Position
This Registered Nurse will be part of a close-knit team who deliver best practice care in Radiation Therapy. Key responsibilities include:
* Patient assessment and comprehensive patient education.
* Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, family and friends.
* Collaboration with Radiation Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.
* Maintaining own professional development and contributing to team goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, applicants must possess:
* Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
* Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate clinical management of care.
* Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.
