About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Director of Finance to join our Executive Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's financial strategy and future growth.
This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including the month end process, budgeting, quarterly forecasting, reporting, compliance including audit, and internal controls. You will also provide strategic financial insight across the multiple business units ensuring robust financial governance while enabling innovation and growth.
As a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team, you will lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team and drive continuous improvement across financial systems, processes, and controls. This role balances hands-on operational leadership to deliver accurate and timely reporting while providing strategic direction, positioning finance as a key enabler of organisational success.
About You
You are an experienced and credible finance leader, who thrives on leading change and strong financial acumen, with:
* A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, plus CA or CPA qualification
* At least five years' experience in a senior finance role, with strong capability in financial reporting, analysis, and strategic advisory
* The ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels in a complex environment
* Strong relationship-building skills, with experience advising Boards and executive leaders
* Advanced MYOB and Excel skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Industry experience in not-for-profit, health, research, or commercial industries is highly regarded but not essential. Experience in Company Secretary duties highly regarded.
