Early Week Teacher – Mudjimba Community Kindergarten (Part-Time, Commencing Term 1, 2026)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team as the Early Week Teacher commencing Term 1, 2026. This part-time role includes non-contact time and involves teaching on Mondays, Tuesdays, and alternate Wednesdays (37.5 hours per fortnight) .

In this role, you will lead the delivery of a high-quality, play-based kindergarten program that supports each child\'s learning, development, and wellbeing.

Our setting offers a rich natural environment — nestled beside bushland and just minutes from the beach — making our Bush Kindy program a core part of our learning experience. A passion for nature-based learning and a commitment to child-led, inquiry-based education is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement a child-centred, inquiry-based educational program
* Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Lead and collaborate with the teaching team to support holistic learning outcomes
* Embed nature pedagogy and environmental learning into the curriculum
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG), the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and the National Quality Framework (NQF)


About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent recognised by ACECQA)
* Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or eligible for registration – support can be provided for the right applicant)
* Previous experience in an early childhood education setting
* Passion for nature-based pedagogy and outdoor learning environments
* Ability to plan and implement a responsive, high-quality program that meets individual and group needs
* Confidence in leading a team and managing large indoor and outdoor learning spaces
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A commitment to inclusive, reflective, and professional practice


Required Certifications

* Current Blue Card/Exemption Card
* Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
