About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in delivering safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals for our residents while supporting the Kitchen Team Leader, Cook and broader care teams.
What You’ll Do
* Assist with meal preparation, beverage service, plating, and delivery across dining areas and resident rooms.
* Support meal services across breakfast, lunch, dinner and scheduled refreshments.
* Operate commercial and domestic dishwashers and ensure all utensils, equipment and work areas are cleaned and sanitised to required standards.
* Label, store and rotate stock in accordance with Sundale’s Food Safety Program requirements.
* Maintain overall kitchen cleanliness following daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
* Assist with receiving and storing stock deliveries using correct storage.
* Support compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in hospitality, commercial kitchens or aged care environments (desirable)
* Strong time‑management skills and a proactive attitude
* Understanding of food safety, hygiene procedures, stock rotation and safe work practices
* Ability to work effectively within a team and provide excellent service to residents
* A positive, flexible approach and commitment to quality care

* National Police Check
