OverviewWesTrac is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Team Leader to join our General Construction Workshop in Tomago.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a technical background and a passion for driving team performance in a dynamic workshop environment.In this role, you will lead a team of technicians working on a diverse range of quarry and civil equipment—including excavators, graders, skid-steers, and loaders.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.As a Team Lead with WesTrac you will be responsible for:Leading, supporting and helping to coordinate a team of workshop technicians to deliver outstanding results.Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.Fostering a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.Driving team performance by promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with company policies, quality assurance standards, and legal requirements.Supporting fault diagnosis and assisting with repairs.Roster and RemunerationRotating roster of 2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights (Mon-Fri)Day Shift: 5:30AM - 4:00PMNight Shift: 3:00PM to 1:30AMAnnual earnings from $146,700+ | Hourly rates from $56+ | Overtime rates from $84+Note: above rates are a guide; each candidate will be assessed on skills and experience.Skills & ExperienceCertificate III Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology OR Cert III Mobile Plant qualification (Australian Recognised)Leadership experience with the ability to build a cohesive team with a common goalDemonstrated ability to delegate tasks and organise teamsFamiliarity with Caterpillar equipment (desired)Strong commitment to meeting customer requirementsExcellent diagnostic and repair skills and a strong commitment to service excellenceExcellent attitude to your work, and dedication to safe work practiceSolutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirementsDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication skillsWhy WesTracAt WesTrac, we're made for more.
