Role Overview
We are seeking English teachers to fill permanent and fixed‐term, full‐time and part‐time vacancies at Narrogin Senior High School (SHS) in Western Australia. Appointments may be offered at any time during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027.
Responsibilities
As a member of the English learning team, you will:
* Deliver engaging and relevant English lessons demonstrating strong curriculum knowledge and effective teaching practices.
* Build positive, respectful, and productive relationships with students to support both academic and personal development.
* Plan and implement high‐quality teaching and learning programs, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and safe classroom environment.
* Differentiated instruction that meets the diverse needs of all students, with a focus on developing literacy skills, critical thinking, and a love of language and literature.
Qualifications & Eligibility
To be considered for this role, you must:
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Hold a valid Working with Children Check (WA Working with Children Check).
* Meet the teaching qualifications and professional standards required by the Western Australian Department of Education.
Mobility appointment: Eligible permanent teachers holding substantive teaching positions in North, South, or South West Education Region schools may elect to undertake a 3‐year mobility appointment with a right of return to their substantive position.
