Our client, an Australian owned national company is the leader in their field of height safety, access and fall-protection solutions. They design, manufacture and install safety access systems, working predominantly on industrial and commercial buildings.
Based in Wetherill Park
**Your new role - Installations Leading Hand**
Due to expansion and consistent growth, we are looking for an experienced** Leading Hand** **who will be responsible for managing 2 - 3 install teams carrying out repairs, installs and rectification works across Sydney, based out of the Western Sydney branch. You will report to the Installation Supervisor and be responsible for organising daily jobs, liaising with customers, staff, organising pre-checks on job sites and assisting the installers onsite as needed plus much more. This is a hands-on role. The team will be installing height safety systems across a range of sites to ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
**What your new role will involve**
- Receiving & scheduling jobs in liaison with the Installations supervisor or the Project Manager
- Liaising with clients and booking in jobs across Sydney
- Managing your teams of installers
- Climbing up ladders, accessing roofs, some heavy lifting is needed
- Using hand and power tools
- Ensuring a high level of quality workmanship is carried out
**What you need to be successful (ESSENTIAL)**
- Roofing/Roofer, metal fabrication, carpentry background,OR ideally previous experience in Height Safety.
- Construction induction White/red card
- Be comfortable working at heights
- A great attitude, flexibility, honesty & trustworthy
- Strong customer focus
- Leadership skills, with demonstrated experience leading a team
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand drawings & Australian Standards
- Current unrestricted drivers licence
- White card and working at heights licence (or willing to get one)
