Job Description
Cook, Chef Simple Italian | Cucina | Pizzeria is looking for full time Cook and Chef to join their business.
Cook Duties and responsibilities
* Prepare meals in line with the restaurant standards
* Support the ordering of food and supplies
* Care for food supplies and leftovers appropriately
* Infusing flavours by adding seasonings
* Maintain and operate the kitchen in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner during the cooking process
* Prepare meals for special events and add-on functions, adjusting the dishes accordingly with the dietary needs of the customers
* Artfully plating dishes with appropriate portions, accompanied by sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
* Develop menu suggestion
* Check on store food and supplies are delivered
* Controlling the temperature of ovens, grills, and various cooking equipment
Skills and experience
* Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.
* At least 1 year of experience
* Knowledge of Italian cuisine.
Chef Duties and responsibilities
* Create seasonal menu and other special menus;
* Inventorying food, ingredient, and supply stock to prepare and plan vendor orders; manage the budget;
* Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet our high standards;
* Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment;
* Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation and ensure appealing plate presentation;
* Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures;
* Preparing and cooking food in a timely manner;
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
* Hire, train and manage kitchen staff;
* Verify compliance in preparation of menu items and customer special requests.
Skills and experience
* Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.
* At least 1 year of experience
* Management skills and knowledge of Italian cuisine
