We are looking for someone who is proactive, solutions-focused, with strong technical skills and a commitment to supporting a diverse workplace. The Cyber Security Specialist Is Responsible For

* Monitoring security events and respond to incidents
* Perform cyber tabletop exercises with various stakeholders and conduct security reviews
* Act as the first technical point of contact for escalations and translate complex issues into clear advice for cybersecurity

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

* Degree-level qualifications in Cyber Security or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Proven ability to develop, document, and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and training programs, particularly in a Microsoft environment (Azure, Microsoft 365)
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
* Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and cyber threats
* Demonstrate commitment to privacy, compliance, and governance standards
* Ability to work across multiple council venues and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
* Current NSW driver's license

Salary range: Grade 16 -
$93, $101,195.12 per annum plus 12% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
