Senior Project Accountant Opportunity
The role of a Senior Project Accountant involves managing all financial aspects of assigned programs, including setting up new projects on financial systems, ensuring project-specific finance procedures are in place, and monitoring program financial performance.
Key responsibilities include maintaining reconciliation of contract values for all programs, calculating price variation for each contract, developing estimates at completion (EACs) and financial inputs for program management reviews (PMRs), and managing revenue recognition information for all programs.
Additionally, the successful candidate will analyze variances between actuals and budget and estimates to complete, providing advice and support on complex project financial matters.
Requirements:
* A university degree in finance or accounting, with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience is required.
* CA/CPA membership or working towards it is desirable.
* The ability to prioritize and manage projects, delegate work, and review others' work product is essential.
* Strong determination and an understanding of AUS GAAP/accounting, US GAAP, and financial accounting requirements are also necessary.
Applicants must be Australian citizens and/or eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to NV1.
