About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Assembly Warehouse Assistant to support the Equipment Department with the control of stock and the movement of inward and outward goods and services from the QA stage onwards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with some exposure or interest in heavy equipment environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with preparing and dispatching goods and services from the Equipment Department, ensuring items are accurate and required QA paperwork is completed.
* Provide general support to the Equipment Department, including picking and packing orders, organising materials, and assisting with stock control.
* Assist with receiving deliveries, checking items for accuracy, quality, and correct specifications.
* Help maintain accurate stock levels by assisting with stock counts, stock movement, and inventory organisation.
* Support the coordination of deliveries and collections for equipment and materials.
* Safely load, unload, pack, and secure goods in line with company safety procedures and load restraint requirements.
* Maintain clean and organised warehouse, yard, and work areas.
* Drive company vehicles to collect or deliver goods when required.
* Operate forklifts in accordance with site procedures and complete required safety checks.
Ideal Background
* Motor Vehicle Licence (required).
* Current Forklift Licence desirable
* Heavy Vehicle Licence (manual capability) desirable.
* 2 years’ experience in heavy equipment industries such as marine, dredging, manufacturing, plant & equipment, or earthmoving.
* 2 years’ experience in transport vehicle loading and unloading, including load restraint.
* Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Exposure to stock control or inventory management systems highly regarded.
