About the role
We are currently seeking a motivated care worker to join our team in Devonport and the surrounding western region on a permanent part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality care to our aged care clients within an in-home care setting. We are looking for dependable candidates with availability Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist clients at home with personal care tasks like showering, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and household chores.
* Support clients to stay independent by helping them go out for shopping, appointments, and community activities.
* Communicate any client concerns or feedback to the care team to ensure quality service.
* Maintain client privacy and dignity, and encourage the same among team members and contractors.
* Report consumer risks to management, including inappropriate behaviours or actions not aligned to our values.
* Attend regular scheduled training to maintain your level of skill.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
* Based in Devonport or the North West surrounding areas and able to travel around the region.
* Completed Certificate III in aged care or individual support or above.
* Current valid Level II First Aid Certificate.
* Experience working within the aged care sector or with elderly people is advantageous.
* Current Australian Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with insurance.
