Financial Analyst Role
The Financial Analyst will provide expert financial advice to the Executive Officer and wider team, focusing on Victoria's Financial Management Framework.
* Produce in-depth financial analysis for Budget Estimates and Financial and Performance Outcomes inquiries
* Develop technical reports and briefing papers for Members of Parliament

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
1. Work closely with the Lead Analyst to ensure draft Committee reports are evidence-based and technically sound
2. Conduct thorough financial analysis on complex budget-related issues and public administration challenges
3. Formulate recommendations based on your findings

About You
You have a deep understanding of major economic developments, the Victorian Financial Management Framework, government priorities, and infrastructure funding. With excellent communication skills, you can build networks and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
* Deep knowledge of accounting, commerce, auditing, finance, or public policy
* Sound experience with IT software, including Excel and Power BI
* A tertiary qualification in a relevant field
