Infrastructure Engineer (Multiple Roles)
Location: Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne
Contract: 12 months + 2 x 12 month extensions
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
Clearance: NV2 mandatory
Start Date: April 2026

We are seeking multiple APS6 equivalent Infrastructure Engineers / System Administrators to support a large federal government organisation operating in a highly secure environment. Multiple roles are available and a merit pool will be established.
The Role
You will implement, manage, and retire infrastructure supporting critical digital services, including physical, virtual, networking, and cloud environments. Allocation to teams will be based on operational requirements. An organisational suitability assessment is required prior to commencement.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure and network issues
- Manage support requests in line with government standards
- Design and implement infrastructure and network changes
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability
- Apply security policies and contribute to standards
- Work collaboratively and take initiative on problem solving
Technical Skills and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in IT or related field
- Experience with infrastructure management and monitoring tools
- Automation and scripting experience
- Strong networking fundamentals
- Experience installing and de installing complex systems
- Proven analysis of service performance against SLAs
Security Requirements
- Current NV2 clearance is mandatory
- Australian citizenship required
This is a long term onsite contract for Infrastructure Engineers looking to work on nationally significant systems in a secure environment.
