About the role

The Host Ranger represents Parks and Wildlife Services (PWS) while creating unforgettable experiences for walkers visiting the Three Capes Track.

In this role, the Host Ranger will:

* Ensure visitors have access to information, interpretation, advice, and assistance.
* Manage bookings and present cabins.
* Captivate and engage visitors with storytelling.
* Share your knowledge of the natural and cultural heritage of the area.

Hours per fortnight

64 hours.


Period of appointment

September 2025 to May 2026.


Essential requirements

* Successful completion of the fitness assessment as the “Arduous” level (4.83km walk carrying 20.5kg in 45 minutes or less).
* Registration to “Work with Vulnerable People” as required under the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013.


Desirable requirements

* A current motor vehicle drivers’ licence.
* Wilderness First Aid qualification.
* Workplace Level 2 First Aid qualification.
