Development & Construction Manager Part -Time

A well-established, privately owned South Australian property group with a strong track record in delivering major developments is seeking an experienced Development & Construction Manager to lead the next stage of a significant multi-stage town centre project in Mount Barker.
Following the successful delivery of a national large-format retail anchor in late 2025, the project is now entering a major vertical development phase that will play a key role in shaping the commercial and civic heart of the Adelaide Hills growth corridor.
This is a rare client-side leadership opportunity to take full ownership of a landmark project from design development through to completion.

The Role
Working directly to the ownership group, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a multi-use Bulky goods development, including:
* Design management and consultant coordination
* Planning and authority approvals
* Feasibility, budgeting and cost control
* Procurement strategy and head contractor engagement
* Programme and risk management
* Construction phase leadership
* Stakeholder and tenant interface
* Project reporting at director level
You will be the central point of coordination between the developer, builder, consultants and key external stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered on time, on budget and to a high quality standard.

About You
You are a commercially astute, outcomes-driven professional with a strong combination of development and construction expertise.
Essential experience:
* Proven track record delivering large multi-storey projects
* Client-side, developer, Tier 1/2 builder or consultancy background
* Strong commercial and contractual capability
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and stakeholders
* Excellent programme, cost and risk management skills
Highly regarded:
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Property, Engineering or similar
* Experience in mixed-use, residential, hotel or commercial tower developments
* Knowledge of the South Australian planning and construction environment
