Phosphate Resources Ltd is seeking an experienced Mount Isa-based Laboratory Technician to join our Ardmore Phosphate Operation.
The role supports our processing and mining teams to meet product specifications and ensure quality control.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of the restart of mining and production and make a valuable contribution to our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate our small laboratory to deliver test results to required schedules.
Maintain the laboratory and equipment with a high standard of housekeeping.
Collect samples from designated collection points.
Perform sample testing to standard operating procedures.
Record test results and data according to scheduled reporting times.
Manage inventory and proper storage of lab supplies and general consumables.
Maintain lab records and data administration.
What you'll bring:
Demonstrated ability to collect samples in hot and challenging conditions.
Laboratory practices knowledge and experience (qualification will be well regarded).
Computer literacy, Microsoft Excel and report writing skills.
Experience in sample preparation and safe handling of chemicals.
Demonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspection techniques.
Radiation User License (or willingness to undertake training and licensing application).
Experience with pXRF operation.
Experience with sample preparation and riffle splitting.
Basic First Aid.
Permanent, full-time position.
8/6 roster – DIDO from Mt Isa - stay at our village at Dajarra during your rostered-on time - transport from Mt Isa and meals provided.
