We are currently seeking a motivated and technically minded Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong automotive knowledge who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions to customers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and converting new business opportunities. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on our products and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Compile and maintain lists of prospective client businesses using directories, industry networks, and other sources
* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our products and services, competitor offerings, and current market conditions
* Visit existing and prospective customers to identify, develop, and secure sales opportunities
* Assess customer requirements and recommend suitable goods and services
* Monitor changes in customer needs and competitor activity, reporting insights to Group Parts Manager
* Prepare and present quotes, negotiate pricing and credit terms, and complete sales orders
* Coordinate delivery of goods where required
* Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner
* Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate records, including business expenses
ABOUT YOU
* Previous experience in automotive sales or a technical sales role (automotive industry preferred)
* Strong technical understanding of automotive products, systems, or services
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
* Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven
* Strong reporting and administrative skills
* Current WA driver's licence
