Qualified Chef / Pizza Chef – Woodfired Pizza & Classic Pub Cuisine
We're a busy, fast-paced pub kitchen serving up quality Australian classics, woodfired pizzas, steaks, pastas, and more. With a loyal local crowd and a reputation for great food and good vibes, we're on the lookout for an experienced Qualified Chef or Pizza Chef to join our growing team.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a motivated and experienced chef who thrives under pressure and knows how to deliver consistent quality in a fast-paced kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Australian cuisine, strong knife skills, and solid knowledge of:
* Woodfired Pizza – Dough handling, topping balance, oven timing
* Grill & Steak – Cooking to temperature, plating, seasoning
* Pasta – Sauces, prep, portion control
* Hot & Cold Larder – Salads, entrees, garnishes, prep
Requirements
* Minimum 2–3 years experience in a busy commercial kitchen
* Hands-on experience with woodfired pizza ovens
* Strong work ethic & time management skills
* Able to work nights, weekends & public holidays
* Excellent communication & teamwork
* Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, safety, and compliance standards
* Australian working rights or eligible for 482 Visa Sponsorship
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* Previous pub, bistro or hotel experience
* Menu development or costing knowledge
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $76,515.00 – $80,000.00 per year
