I'm partnering with a highly respected, independent creative agency with over 20 years of success in the food & beverage retail journey space. Their work spans QSR, FMCG and corporate sectors, blending strategy, design, digital communications and photography to influence in-store purchase decisions and bring brands to life.
They're now seeking a Senior Account Director to take the lead on key client relationships and drive the strategic and creative excellence the agency is known for on a 14 month contract. This is a pivotal leadership role, where you'll guide a passionate team, shape client direction, and ensure projects deliver impact across every touchpoint.
The Role
As Senior Account Director, you'll be the trusted advisor for blue-chip clients, responsible for building strong partnerships, leading strategic conversations, and overseeing complex project delivery. You'll mentor and support Account Managers and Directors, ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams, while also playing a role in identifying growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and nurture client relationships, ensuring alignment with business and brand objectives
* Drive strategic thinking across campaigns, influencing creative and commercial outcomes
* Provide leadership and mentorship to your team
* Oversee budgets, timelines and resources across multiple accounts
* Champion innovation and identify opportunities to add value
* Attend and direct photography shoots and in-store activations where required
* Maintain a strong understanding of shopper behaviour, retail journeys, and design practices
What We're Looking For
* 7+ years' agency-side client service experience, including leadership at Account Director or SAD level
* Proven track record managing large-scale, complex clients (QSR, FMCG or retail preferred)
* Instore brand / digital activation experience, highly desirable
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver against KPIs
* Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication - confident presenting at senior stakeholder level
* A passion for retail, brand storytelling and shopper journeys
