Early Childhood Support Specialist Role
Support young children and their families by implementing the NDIS Early Childhood Approach. Work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals to provide individualized supports and achieve positive outcomes.
Job Description
This role involves providing information, linkages, and early connections to support families. You will assist in accessing the NDIS, gathering information for NDIS plans, and supporting implementation of these plans. A key focus is ensuring children receive tailored supports based on their needs and circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing information and linkages to mainstream and community supports
* Implementing the NDIS Early Childhood Approach to support children aged 0-6 or 0-9 with disability and their families/carers
* Assisting families to request access to the NDIS where appropriate and supporting them through the process
* Supporting the development and implementation of NDIS plans
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Allied Health such as Occupational therapy, Speech pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social work or Early Childhood Education/teaching
* AHPRA Registration if applicable
* A current Victorian Drivers Licence
* A current Working with Children Check (Employee) or VIT Registration
* NDIS Workers Screening Check (can be obtained during application)
* Ability to travel across service delivery areas
