About the vacancy
The Finance Analyst - Reporting & Compliance is responsible for delivering accurate and timely invoicing, financial processing, and general ledger support to ensure the integrity of financial information across the business. The role plays a key part in maintaining strong financial governance by supporting tax compliance activities, audit requirements, regular balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
Working closely with the Business Controller, Finance Business Partners and wider finance team, this position contributes to end‐to‐end accounting processes, financial reporting, and continuous improvement of internal controls to ensure compliance with statutory, audit, and corporate policies.
Main Duties
Customer Invoicing & Accounts Receivable
* Prepare accurate weekly/monthly invoices and maintain AR records.
* Reconcile customer accounts, allocate payments, and manage overdue debtors.
* Resolve billing queries and support cash collection.
* Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable, pricing, and customer billing records.
* Maintain weekly debtors reporting and support proactive customer account management.
Month-End & Compliance
* Complete GL and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Prepare journals, accruals, and adjustments in line with accounting standards and internal controls.
* Support statutory and tax compliance activities including BAS, Payroll Tax, and FBT.
* Assist with internal/external audits and maintain financial control documentation.
* Maintain compliance with corporate financial governance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management procedures.
* Maintain accurate records and support internal control testing.
* Identify and escalate discrepancies or compliance risks.
Finance Team Support
* Assist with reporting schedules and reconciliations across month-end/quarter-end/year-end.
* Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or similar level major in Accounting/Finance
* 2 -3 years minimum experience in a similar role
* Demonstrated experience in Financial Accounting, AR and month end reporting
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and accounting standards
* Familiar understanding and working knowledge of Invoicing Processes
* Commercial Acumen
