Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Care Worker to join our team in supporting vulnerable individuals with disabilities or medical conditions. Our Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP) aims to empower younger people to live independently in their own homes.
The successful candidate will provide daily living assistance and domestic tasks to support clients in maintaining their independence and enhancing their quality of life. This role requires flexibility, with a focus on delivering high-quality care in the private homes of clients or their carers in Baw Baw and Latrobe local government areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Clients with Daily Living Activities: Assist clients with personal care, dressing, meal preparation, house cleaning, property maintenance, community access, and public transport use.
* Deliver High-Quality Care: Provide social and emotional support to clients in a sensitive and confidential manner, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
* Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Home and Community Care or Equivalent Qualification: Hold a minimum Certificate III in Home and Community Care or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in Vulnerable Care: Previous experience in providing care to vulnerable people, such as children, people with disabilities, or elderly individuals.
* Communication and Time Management Skills: Possess excellent communication and time management skills to effectively coordinate client care.
* Computer Literacy: Demonstrate basic computer literacy to record client information and maintain accurate records.
