As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery critical to the milling process. Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on large-scale mechanical plant and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
- Conduct inspections and risk assessments to ensure safe equipment operation
- Work closely with other trades and operations teams to minimise downtime
- Support seasonal operations, including shift work and overtime during peak periods
Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
- Proven experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment
- A strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Commitment to safe work practices and working within strict safety protocols
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation
- Flexible, team-oriented attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
