You'll join a high performing Risk & Resilience team known for its collaborative culture and strong leadership. Working within a busy Business Services environment, you'll play a key role in assurance, compliance and accreditation - contributing meaningful, high impact work in a large, highly regulated public sector setting that values integrity, accountability and continuous improvement.
Your new role
As the Audit Management Coordinator, you will step into a key role ensuring the smooth coordination and execution of both internal and external audits during a parental leave period. Reporting to the Head of Risk & Resilience, you will maintain the continuity of an established audit plan while providing high quality oversight across all stages of their audit and accreditation programs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinate end to end internal and external audits, including weekly executive updates and audit committee papers
* Track audit actions, evidence and recommendations to ensure timely closure
* Support ISO certification programs (ISO 9001, AS/NZS 4801, ISO 14001, HACCP, ISO with clear QA oversight.
* Communicate audit status, key findings and improvement requirements
* Partner with internal teams and external auditors to meet audit and compliance obligations
* Maintain audit schedules, assurance reporting and updates to governance committees
* Collaborate with Governance Administration and the Compliance Officer within the Risk & Resilience team
* Highly organised, proactive and autonomous, with strong stakeholder management at all levels
* Outcome focused, able to build rapport quickly, escalate appropriately and uphold high audit integrity.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in audit, compliance, quality or assurance
* Strong understanding of internal audit methodologies and the audit lifecycle
* Skilled communicator with the ability to produce clear audit reports
* Ability to analyse findings, identify control gaps and support remediation
* Experience coordinating internal and third party audits
* High integrity, confidentiality and sound judgement
* Strong prioritisation and time management skills
* Bonus: experience with ISO 9001, operational/field audits, public sector environments, process improvement and ISO accreditation
* Relevant audit/quality qualification or extensive practical audit experience
Work environment
* Hybrid environment (Tue-Thu preferred onsite, Wed anchor day).
* The office is located near public transport; no on-site parking.
* Expect 3 - 4 days in office during the first two weeks.
