Are you looking for a fun and meaningful way to give back to your community? Join Dementia Australia as a volunteer supporting our Ten-Pin Bowling Social Support Group in Darwin.
This relaxed and friendly group provides a safe and inclusive environment for people living with dementia to take a break from their usual routine, connect with others in their community, knock down a few pins, and enjoy a couple of hours of socialising and meaningful activity.
Volunteers play an important role in helping create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for everyone attending. By supporting qualified Dementia Australia staff, youll help make the afternoon both fun and engaging for participants.
**What the program offers participants**

**What youll do as a volunteer**
Supporting trained Dementia Australia staff, you may:
- Engage in friendly conversations with group members
- Help create a welcoming and inclusive group environment
- Support individuals to participate in bowling and group activities
- Encourage social interaction and connection within the group
- Assist staff in ensuring the activity remains safe, fun, and enjoyable
- Support general group engagement throughout the session
You dont need bowling experience, just a positive attitude and a willingness to connect with people.

- Be 18 years or older
- Participate in a short interview
- Provide references and complete a National Police Check (cost covered)
