The Opportunity
We're seeking aSenior Personal Injury Lawyerto take on a leadership role within our dynamic team at our Dandenong Head Office. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced practitioner.As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for complex matters while also mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to strategic firm development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complex litigationincluding high-value WorkCover, TAC, public liability, and medical negligence claims
Mentor and supervisejunior lawyers and support staff, contributing to their professional development and satisfaction, and your own
Drive business developmentthrough client relationships, referral networks, and community engagement
Contribute to firm strategyincluding practice development, process improvement, and innovation initiatives
Collaborate with managementon operational decisions and firm direction
Maintain our exceptional client service standardsin line with our "No Win, No Fee OR Expenses" commitment
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
7+ years PAEwith substantial personal injury law experience across multiple practice areas
Proven track recordof successful complex litigation and significant settlements/judgments
Business development experiencewith demonstrated ability to generate and maintain client relationships
Leadership and mentoring experiencewith junior legal staff
Current practicing certificateand relevant academic qualifications
Key Skills & Attributes:
Strategic thinkingwith ability to contribute to firm growth and development
Exceptional advocacy skillsboth written and oral, including court appearance experience
Strong commercial acumenwith understanding of practice management and profitability
Commitment to social justiceand alignment with our firm's values and mission
Outstanding client relationship managementskills with diverse and vulnerable client groups
Professional networkwithin the personal injury, insurance, or related legal communities
Accredited specialiststatus in personal injury law
Professional association involvement(Law Institute of Victoria, Australian Lawyers Alliance, etc.)
