Warranty Leader

We are a leading player in the automotive sector, known for innovation, quality, and engineering excellence. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Warranty Leader to join our high-performing team.

The Role

The Warranty Leader is responsible for overseeing the warranty team and the end-to-end warranty process. This role ensures that warranty claims are assessed, processed, and resolved accurately, efficiently, and in line with company policies, supplier agreements, and Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Operating in a niche, high-performance environment, the Warranty Leader works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, OEM customers, Dealers, and key suppliers to identify warranty trends, support root cause analysis, and drive continuous product and process improvements.

The role balances strong technical understanding with customer-focused decision-making to protect brand reputation while managing cost and risk. The Warranty Lead plays a hands‐on role, often managing complex or bespoke vehicle issues and acting as a key point of escalation for internal stakeholders and dealer networks.

The position contributes to broader business objectives by ensuring warranty performance aligns with quality standards, financial controls, and customer satisfaction expectations within a premium automotive brand.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the end-to-end warranty process for Walkinshaw Automotive vehicles and components, ensuring claims are assessed, approved, and resolved in line with company policies, supplier agreements, and Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
* Act as the primary escalation point for complex or high-impact warranty cases, balancing technical assessment, commercial outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
* Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and After‐Sales teams to investigate warranty issues, support root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventative actions.
* Contribute to the development, review, and ongoing improvement of warranty policies, procedures, and training materials.
* Monitor warranty trends, failure rates, and cost drivers, preparing regular reports and insights for senior management to support data‐driven decision-making.
* Identify safety critical items, escalation, root cause and implementation of solutions in a timely manner.
* Promote a strong safety, quality, and compliance culture, aligning warranty practices with Walkinshaw Automotive's values and operational standards.

About You

* Tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* 5+ years of experience in warranty data analysis, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
* Experience supervising or leading a small, dedicated team, including workload management and capability development.
* Strong working knowledge of Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and end-to-end warranty processes.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools preferred.
* Familiarity with warranty systems, ERP environments, and automotive quality frameworks.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.

What We Offer

* Competitive salary and benefits package.
* Opportunity to work on key business projects.
* A collaborative environment with strong career development pathways.
