Senior SAP Basis Consultant / Lead – Brisbane (Onsite)
Location: Brisbane, Australia
Work Mode: Onsite only (No remote candidates)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Basis professional to lead and support SAP landscape operations in a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in SAP Basis with strong integration exposure, excellent communication skills, and proven leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead SAP Basis administration across SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA landscapes
* Oversee system installations, upgrades, patches, kernel upgrades, and migrations
* Manage SAP system performance tuning, transport management (STMS), and system refreshes
* Handle SAP Integrations, including:
* Ensure system availability, high performance, and security compliance
* Collaborate closely with functional, development, and infrastructure teams
* Lead incident and problem management for Basis-related issues
* Mentor junior Basis team members and provide technical leadership
* Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and senior leadership
* Support audits, DR planning, and high-availability setups
Required Skills & Experience
* 8+ years of strong SAP Basis experience
* Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA
* Strong knowledge of:
* SAP NetWeaver
* Oracle / HANA databases
* SAP Solution Manager
* Good understanding of SAP integration technologies (PI/PO, CPI preferred)
* Experience supporting end-to-end interface flows
* Ability to troubleshoot integration-related Basis issues
* Demonstrated team leadership or lead consultant experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to engage with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
* Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments
Nice to Have
* SAP certifications (Basis, HANA, S/4HANA)
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP for SAP)
* Exposure to automation or scripting
* Experience supporting SAP security teams (roles, authorizations)
