About the Role
You will have overall responsibility for leading policy and compliance within a registry of vital statistics.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Strategic Guidance: Offer high-level advice and leadership on compliance, correspondence, investigations, legislation, policy, procedures, record management, and staff training.
* Lead a Policy Team: Direct a multi-functional team to achieve defined operational outcomes and performance measures; initiate remedial action if required.
* Collaborate with Senior Leaders: Work with senior management to ensure effective delivery of services and compliance with relevant legislative frameworks, directives, and policies.
* Foster a Positive Culture: Lead an organizational culture that values collaboration, innovation, performance, and employee contributions.
* Drive Improvement: Identify and implement business, process, and technological enhancements.
