The Bid Writer plays a critical role in securing new business by developing high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals. Sitting within the Professional Services Practice, this role focuses on crafting clear, compelling submissions that bring together capability, methodology, and client insight, while partnering closely with the Industry Team to tailor responses to specific opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Write, edit, and refine high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals in line with client requirements
* Translate technical methodologies and consulting capability into clear, persuasive narratives
* Collaborate with subject matter experts, consultants, and sales leads to gather and shape content
* Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across all written submissions
* Maintain and contribute to a central library of reusable content (case studies, CVs, capability statements)
* Leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, consistency, and knowledge capture
* Tailor responses to align with client priorities, evaluation criteria, and procurement requirements
* Support the broader bid process, including reviews, formatting, and submission readiness
* Continuously improve templates, tone, and messaging across bid content
Your Impact
* Proven experience in bid writing, proposals, or content development within professional services
* Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas into compelling client-focused messaging
* Experience working with SMEs and stakeholders to extract and shape content
* High attention to detail with strong organisation and time management skills
* Exposure to AI tools or content automation is highly regarded
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in bid writing, proposals, or a similar role
* Understanding of consulting/professional services environments
* Familiarity with structured bid processes and procurement requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
