Berendsen Fluid Power has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and customer engagement — you'll be working with clients across a range of industries to understand their fluid power needs and deliver tailored hydraulic solutions. Whether it's cylinders, power units, or complete system solutions, your technical knowledge and relationship skills will be essential to success.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with clients to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored fluid power solutions.
* Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across key industries including mining, transport, and agriculture.
* Prepare quotes, proposals, and technical documentation for clients.
* Provide technical support, product recommendations, and post-sale assistance.
* Work with our engineering and operations teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery of solutions.
* Gain in-depth knowledge of Berendsen's product range, including cylinders, power units, fluid conveying products, and leading brands such as Danfoss and Pall.
* Identify new business opportunities and support growth across your territory.

About You
* Proven experience in fluid power, hydraulics, or a related engineering/technical field.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you're comfortable dealing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Engineering qualification, trade background, or equivalent industry experience.
* A current driver's licence.
