Find out more about us and our purpose. Your Opportunity Making Space Program helps individuals reclaim their homes and lives from the effects of compulsive acquiring. Through practical support, coaching, life skills training, and a supportive group environment, participants learn to understand their behaviours and create lasting positive change. This role will provide recovery-focused, strengths-based practical and case management support to individuals living with hoarding disorder (compulsive acquiring). Our approach empowers participants to take positive steps towards change, building on their strengths and personal goals. Through tailored support, we help individuals increase resilience, develop essential life skills, and create strong, sustainable support networks for long-term wellbeing. This is a max term contract finishing on 30th June 2026. Your key responsibilities will be to: Undertake initial registrations, assessment and provide ongoing case management support Work with other services to create individualized case plans and assist the consumers in the process of transitioning Contribute to effective functioning and development of the service through projects, team forums and training and development Participate actively in Quality Assurance Framework and internal and external clinical supervision Complete a range of administrative duties including consumer files, notes, referral letters and case plans Assist in promotion and awareness of Making Space Program and its involvement in local communities Requirements for Success Minimum of a Cert III or IV in community services/mental health Minimum 2 years’ experience in community services/mental health/AOD related roles Experience and knowledge of recovery orientated practice and trauma informed practice Experienced working with clients with complex mental health illness and challenging behaviours Have a sound understanding of Mission Australia’s values and code of conduct Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including highly developed administrative skills Drivers’ Licence Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, referee checks, WWCC.
