To be successful, you will have...Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated advanced nursing practice within the palliative care practice setting.
Demonstrated advanced skills in planning, coordination and decision making, within the palliative care practice setting.
Demonstrated well-developed team leadership and mentorship skills.
Demonstrated well-developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated incorporation risk management within practice.
Current C Class driver's License and an ability and willingness to travel including stay away overnight stays away from home.
Position Profile
The primary responsibilities of the Palliative Care Clinical Nurse is to manage, coordinate and deliver competent nursing care for palliative care patients and their families, through consultation, sound leadership, advanced nursing skills and knowledge relevant to the palliative care nursing practice in variable community and hospital settings.
The clinical nurse will be supportive of the ongoing development of the Kimberley palliative care team and the implementation of the palliative care rural model.

WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS.
The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office.
WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health, and support staff.
