What's my job?
You're a
Fashion Copywriter
in our Melbourne team. A storyteller who translates the language of fashion into words that move people. You'll collaborate closely with art directors, designers, strategists and stylists to craft evocative brand narratives, campaign headlines, and product stories that capture the essence of contemporary style.
Your words will sit alongside imagery that defines brands, sparks emotion and builds culture. From campaign platforms to product descriptions, from social captions to brand manifestos, you'll ensure our fashion clients have a voice that's as distinctive and expressive as their visual identity.
A Day in the Life
* Campaign & Concept Development:
Partner with creative directors and art directors to develop campaign ideas, tone of voice and storytelling across fashion shoots, seasonal launches, and brand activations.
* Copy Crafting:
Write captivating, on-brand copy for print, digital, and film executions, from taglines and video scripts to lookbook narratives and ecommerce content.
* Trend Insight & Cultural Relevance:
Stay fluent in fashion, culture, and design trends, ensuring every word feels timely, tasteful, and relevant.
* Voice & Tone Stewardship:
Guard and evolve each brand's tone of voice, maintaining consistency across touchpoints while keeping messaging fresh and contemporary.
* Collaboration:
Work hand-in-hand with producers, designers, and stylists to ensure copy enhances and complements visual storytelling.
* Editing & Refinement:
Review and refine copy from concept to final production, ensuring every line is clear, impactful and aligned to brand strategy.
* Multi-Channel Execution:
Adapt messages seamlessly across campaign, retail, digital and social formats, understanding how words behave in different spaces.
* Innovation:
Push boundaries in fashion writing by exploring new formats and finding unexpected ways to express style and attitude.

* Agency Experience:
You're confident working across multiple briefs and brands, comfortable presenting work and adapting to feedback with agility.
Other things that will make you excel in this role
* Experience writing within the fashion, lifestyle, retail or luxury sectors and ideally in agency, brand, or editorial environments.
* A strong grasp of fashion trends, retail landscapes, and contemporary culture.
* Experience crafting copy for fashion campaigns, shoots, and digital commerce.
* An editorial sensibility. You may have a background in journalism, fashion media, or content strategy.
* A beautifully curated portfolio showcasing sharp, stylish and conceptually strong writing.
