Internal Home Assessor - 12 Months Max Term Contract

About the Role
Reporting to the Assessing Team Manager, you will support our Customers and Claims Team by ensuring the effective and efficient resolution of Home Claims in line with relevant Hollard policy and procedure obligations.
Your duties and responsibilities
* Receive and undertake assessments across your delegated region.
* Interstate travel, and travel outside of the delegated region will be required from time to time, for example to provide assessing support following a catastrophic event.
* Attend and assess customers' properties.
* Obtain, review and negotiate quotes from our supply panel.
* Audit and review building repairs in progress, as well as completed repairs.
* Inform customers about how their loss will be managed.
* Build strong relationships with trades, third-party vendors, and service providers.
About you
* Previous assessing, loss adjusting, or building trade related experience desired.
* Strong customer focus is mandatory.
* Demonstrable experience and confidence in face-to-face customer service.
* Full Australian Driver's Licence.
* General knowledge of legislative requirements and industry codes pertaining to insurance claims.
* Sound technical knowledge and understanding of insurance related building repairs.
