About The Role
Our team seeks an experienced shipping professional to manage export shipping from contract stage through delivery at destination port. This role is critical in ensuring all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* We initiate container export shipping to meet buyer requirements.
* Shipment progress is monitored, issues are proactively resolved, and delays/costs are minimized.
* Ocean freight rates are negotiated, and strong relationships are maintained with shipping lines and service providers.
* Container export operations are coordinated with yards, buyers, and internal teams.
* Accurate documentation ensures customs and regulatory compliance.
* The trading team receives support with freight requests within and outside tender agreements.
About You
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in international container export shipping/logistics.
* A strong understanding of ocean freight, shipping documentation, and customs processes.
* Multiple priorities are managed in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (experience with BSM, ICS, or SAP desirable).
