Life in the fast lane

As our Division Manager – Event Overlay, you will be joining the Infrastructure team who make up part of the Operations Department.

This is a permanent position, based at our Head Office in St Kilda.

Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the event overlay, to a world class standard, for the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix each year.

Additionally, you will:

* Actively participate in the venue design process as a subject matter expert in temporary event infrastructure.
* Lead the engineering project manager (iEDM), contractors, event agencies and corporate partners through the design and delivery process of each event.
* Develop and implement strategies to continually improve the quality and efficiency of the event overlay year on year.
* Promote and enable AGPC department strategies through overlay design, commercial negotiations and strategic planning.
* Engage and collaborate with various stakeholder groups in relation to event overlay and construction. Stakeholders include Formula 1, Dorna, FIM, FIA, Motorsport Australia, Parks Victoria and Phillip Island Operations.

What you'll bring to the role:

* Tertiary qualifications, ideally in event management, project/construction management, engineering, or business.
* 10+ years’ experience working in major events working in Event Overlay
* Significant project management experience working on major event overlay projects, including the leadership of large stakeholder groups, venue design, procurement and contract management.
* Experience of cost control and budget responsibility.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* A current Police Check and Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee), or be willing to obtain.
