Overview
Provide expert clinical consultancy across hospital and community to support the delivery of safe, effective, and woman‑centred care. You will be responsible for leading forensic responses for women experiencing domestic and family violence, linking with Emergency Departments, Aboriginal Medical Centres, and Domestic Violence centres to provide support, making appointments within the community health setting, and contributing to a new model of care.
Responsibilities
* Lead forensic responses for women who report domestic violence.
* Link with Emergency Departments, Aboriginal Medical Centres, and Domestic Violence centres to provide support to patients.
* Make appointments within the community health setting for women wanting forensic responses at a later date.
* Collaborate with a Social Worker, District Domestic & Family Violence Project Manager, Clinical Coordinator, and the broader Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) team.
* Work within an on‑call roster.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a minimum of five (5) years full‑time equivalent post‑registration nursing experience, with at least three (3) years full‑time equivalent experience working in DFV.
* Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* Approved post‑registration nursing qualifications relevant to the field in which you are appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
* Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work purposes.
