Base pay range
A$103,******/yr - A$111,******/yr
Full time, continuing role
Coordinate the daily operations of the Equipment Loans Store, supporting access to media equipment and service delivery across the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
Base Salary $103,185 - $111,237 (HEO 6) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) is driven by academic rigour, intellectual curiosity and social inclusion; we\'re committed to solving pressing global challenges.
The Digital Media Unit (DMU) supports production-based subjects in the Discipline of Media and Communications and at the Sydney College of the Arts, and provides creative multimedia production services to enhance FASS\'s teaching and research offerings. The DMU operates an Equipment Loans Store, where students and staff can borrow media equipment essential to their projects, and manages the delivery and maintenance of loan equipment for practical classes throughout the semester. The DMU also manages several student- and staff-facing production studios covering audio, video, and mixed reality.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate the daily operations of the Loans Store, including task delegation and front-line service delivery
Update the asset management and booking system to ensure accurate tracking and efficient service
Manage incoming stock and purchase orders, including delivery coordination, order reconciliation and barcoding
Coordinate Equipment Loans Officers, ensuring smooth workflows and high-quality customer service
Lead regular audits of media equipment, ensuring stock levels and condition reports are accurately recorded
Monitor overdue loans and ensure users are aware of their responsibilities and obligations
Respond to enquiries from university staff and students
Purchase consumables, such as batteries, barcoding materials and other items required to maintain daily operations of the Loans Store
Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies, maintaining a safe and accessible store environment
Deliver equipment to classes and assist at the Loans Store desk as required
Undertake ad-hoc projects and duties as directed by the Equipment Loans Manager
About you
Hold a relevant qualification in communications, media, librarianship or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Experience coordinating operational workflows and delegating tasks within a team
Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Experience using planning software to assign and track tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and thrive in a collaborative, high-pressure environment
Proficient in asset or inventory management software, and display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and an ability to innovate to improve systems and processes
Understand WHS principles and be committed to maintaining a safe and compliant workspace
Have working knowledge of audio-visual equipment and be comfortable providing advice and support to users
