On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The recent health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
About the Role-Full Time 76 Hours Per Fortnight
Bass Coast Health is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nurse Unit Manager to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to your community while working in a supportive and innovative organisation. The amazing team at Bass Coast Health Integrated Care Unit are looking for enthusiastic, highly skilled Nurse Unit Manager to join and lead the team. The Integrated Care Unit provides care and treatment for patients within the sub-region with solid tumours and blood cancers as well as providing a range of medical infusions for other conditions.
The service provided care to more than 1300 patients last year in a purpose-built unit that opened in 2021 including 9 treatment spaces and is supported by local and visiting medical oncology and haematologist.

Mandatory Requirements
MANDATORY:
- Registered Nurse holding registration to practice and entitlement to work within Australia
- Recent extensive experience, skills and knowledge in cancer care
- Management or leadership experience
- A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
- Provision of valid Working with Children Check
- Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
- Previous experience and knowledge of standards accreditation (National Standards)
DESIRABLE:
Post-graduate qualification in relevant area in healthcare/nursing or management or working towards Masters
