About the role
Gilbys Truck Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Pheasants Nest, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of heavy commercial vehicles.
What you'll be doing
* Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of heavy vehicles
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
* Inspect, test and replace components as required
* Complete all necessary documentation and record keeping
* Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in a timely manner
* Maintain a safe and organised work environment
What we're looking for
* Relevant trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
* Experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in a commercial workshop environment
* Cummins Engine Experience Prefered However not required
* Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle systems and components
* Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
* Relevant licences and certifications (forklift licence / Heavy Vehicle licence "Prefered but not required")
