Elderly Care is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in our Kawana Waters, Queensland aged care facility. This Casual role is responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our elderly residents in a caring and professional environment.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking a variety of meals, including special dietary requirements, for our elderly residents
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation
Ordering and managing kitchen supplies and stock
Collaborating with the care team to understand resident dietary needs and preferences
Mentoring and supervising kitchen staff
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
Assisting Chef Manager in delivering quality meals to residents
What we're looking for
At least 3 years' experience as a Chef, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
Qualification: Current Food Safety Certificate and Cert II or III in Cookery
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of nutritious meal preparation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the care team
Good organisational and time management abilities
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Passion for providing high-quality dining experiences for the elderly
