Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing daily meals for children aged 0 to 6.
The ideal candidate will have a Commercial Cookery Qualification Certificate III or higher, as well as Food Safety Supervisor and Safe Food Handling Certificates.
In addition to their qualifications, the candidate should possess strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain a clean kitchen.
The role involves following centre nutrition guidelines and Healthy Together Achievement Program, as well as managing kitchen hygiene, food safety and compliance.
Catering for allergies, intolerances and anaphylaxis needs is also a crucial aspect of this position.
The successful candidate will engage with children, families and educators to build community connection.
Requirements:
* Commercial Cookery Qualification Certificate III or higher.
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
* Safe Food Handling Certificate.
* Experience in childcare preferred.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and maintain a clean kitchen.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Current Working with Children Check, First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates.
