About the Role We have a fantastic opportunity for a law graduate/first-year lawyer to join our in-house legal team, providing essential legal support across the business.
You will be based at our Adelaide office and work alongside our General Counsel and two Senior Legal Counsel, gaining valuable exposure to the senior leadership team.
This role is ideal for someone eager to develop practical legal experience while supporting the business across various commercial, operational, and legal matters.
Duties Assist in providing commercially oriented legal advice across a variety of business contracts.Support in drafting commercial agreements, including leases and licenses.Advise on day-to-day legal and operational issues as they arise.Assist with managing insurance matters for Australia and New Zealand.Support the team in managing litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and debt recovery actions to secure favorable outcomes.Coordinate with external legal advisors to support business needs.Monitor legislative changes and support legal compliance training.Participate in cross-business internal projects, gaining exposure to different areas of the business.About You Tertiary qualified in law.Strong interest in commercial law and willingness to grow your legal career in-house.Motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.Exposure to construction law, general litigation, or corporate/commercial law through internships or legal clerkships is a plus.Ability to understand and respond to the commercial drivers behind business decisions.Up to date with the latest legal trends, ideally through ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development) engagement.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Familiarity with technology and its application to legal tasks.Willingness to develop an in-depth understanding of the Viterra Australian and New Zealand business.You'll be joining an established world-leading global agriculture company which has been operating in South Australia for more than 70 years, and benefit from:
