We are a Heavy Vehicle Repair workshop expanding rapidly. Our highly organised and fast-paced team works together to repair and rebuild trucks for our customers. No job is too small or too complex. The experience you will get when working at Prancer will be second to none.
We seek a Panel Beater who is an Apprentice or a tradesperson with experience.
Apprentices should feel free to come and talk with us about what they know now and what their dream job is. We can support the apprentice with tools and training. We would consider the first- to fourth-year apprentice.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
- Knowledge of basic Body Shop procedures.
- Carry out panel beating on light and heavy vehicles.
- Experience in welding, bodywork and panel beating.
- Knowledge of vehicle component replacement, body repair and painting.
- Knowledge of vehicle makes and models.
- Knowledge of a vehicle workshop.
- Interpersonal and communication skills in a culturally diverse or multi-disciplinary setting.
- Ability to identify and effectively solve problems.
- Supply your tools. There are some large workshop tools.
- Maintain the workshop area clean and tidy.
- Carry out general cleaning duties.
- Assist other workshop staff as required.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of various measuring equipment, hand tools and special tools in the workshop.
- Update and highlight all major and repeated failures to the Smash Foreman. Supervisor.
Experience
- 2 years’ experience as a Panel Beater for a tradesperson.
- Experience with Heavy vehicles or light vehicles.
- Forklift Licence and Safe Working at Heights ( preferred but not essential).
- Current driver’s licence ( preferred but not essential).
- Heavy Vehicle driver's licence ( preferred but not essential).

- Self-motivated and able to work independently as required.

Pay: $15.76 – $38.89 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
