About The Role
The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Unit is a specialised mental health service for young people aged 10-18 years, with a range of services from assessment to treatment options. It includes therapies and medication. Inpatient and outpatient services are available and include counselling, assessment, early intervention and referrals to other specialist services.
The Senior Speech Pathology role covers CAMHS inpatients and outpatients which services the local Orange district.
You will work within intelligent and supportive multidisciplinary team. There are also local and external supervision opportunities to develop skills in working within Mental Health.
As the Senior Speech Pathologist within the CAMHS unit, you will be responsible for providing high quality, culturally competent integrated services to children, adolescents and families with mental health needs. You will be responsible for clinically supervising and supporting staff as directed by the head of department and assisting with quality and service improvements. The successful candidate will be passionate about collaboration and innovation and inspire and empower a supportive team.
