About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering professional to join our engineering team. Working as part of the Kanga Loaders engineering team you will possess a good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical design and an overall desire to drive industry innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, design and draft new products and product upgrades on Kanga Loaders and Digga attachments including: Structural and mechanical designs including chassis, drives, hubs, arms, buckets, attachments and guardingEngine integration and testing Hydraulic drive and control systemsElectrical systems including wiring loomsGeneral modelling and drafting on AutoCAD and InventorGenerate technical manufacturing drawingsInspects designs and finished products for compliance with job specificationsComplete product testing and trialsPerform basic administrative duties such as updating data and BOM’s in ERP systemAssists in the costing and sourcing of materialsWork with the production team to improve manufacturing processes & development of new tooling & fixturesWrite Scope of Works documentsCreate and edit instruction manuals and technical service bulletins
Qualifications And Experience.
Advanced Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. (Trade experience will also be an advantage)Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role - preferably within the earth-moving equipment or mobile machinery sector.Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Inventor Advanced knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExperience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools, including Nastran highly desired.Strong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.Experience with manufacturing processes and procedures.
